    Low level combi flue

Yeah but once it's out of warrenty it's his problem not mine. As long as it's fitted correctly then I don't need to worry. I prefer to supply too but It's not a necessity for me. I can see your point though, each to his own eh.

    Low level combi flue

I know what you mean but i'll only be fitting it if it's all above board. It doesn't bother me really, saves me some hassle and i still get paid! I never fit anything that's not fresh out of the box!

    Low level combi flue

not sure yet mate, the landlord is intending to supply his own and he has a penchant for the heatline's from b&q! I'll definitely need to bring the flue terminal up at least a little bit from the otherwise it will be too low. Not sure what sort of flue flexibility u get from the heatline so just...

I guess if i can get a flue extension to get it more than 300mm from the ground i should be ok. Don't worry i'll...

    Low level combi flue

Hi guys, been to look at a job in a basement flat today. Basically they want to fit a new combi system but, as it's a basement, any likely boiler location will mean the flue will terminate about 8 inches above the street level outside. What I really want to know is, will it be a simple case...

    Ariston Microcombi problem

Hmm don't remember seeing a restrictor but will check on my return. The boiler has been in for a couple of years so i assume it's been working ok till now. Do you think it could be an APS fault at all? Thanks for your help by the way!

    Ariston Microcombi problem

Hi all, went to look at this boiler today and it keeps firing up and then cutting out constantly after a few seconds. Pump and fan are running ok, system pressure is fine and all controls are also working ok. Strangely the burner will stay on without the burner cover on which points to a...

    Sludged/Furred up HE?

Probably kettling because the water isn't passing through the heat exchanger as quickly because of the sludge and is therefore boiling/kettling as it gets too hot.

Potterton Netaheat profile - luke warm water

Hi, sounds like it could be a cylinder stat or boiler stat problem. Try turning the cylinder stat up and see if the boiler fires. Failing that it could be a knackered boiler stat or sludged up heat exchanger.

    Worcs Greenstar problem

Thanks Chris, the flow rate is definitely still good enough in my opinion to operate the flow switch so I think it may well be a stiff spring on the flow switch which is the culprit. I can't really think of anything else it could be as the pressure seems adequate with both taps running.

    Worcs Greenstar problem

Hi, i've got a problem with a Grenstar 30HE combi that i would like some opinions on. Basically what happens is when a hot tap is turned on the boiler fires normally and works perfectly well untill a cold tap is turned on while the hot tap is still running. As soon as a cold tap is turned on the...

    no hw but ch fine

Sounds like it may be the hot water temp sensor/thermistor. Has this been changed recently? Does the boiler attempt to fire when you put the hot tap on?

Worcester 80ic problem - help required!

I'm an engineer and it's the only one of these that i've ever seen but it definitely exists and it's definitely a combi. I think it may have been some sort of worcester experiment that didn't take off! I'd say it's less than 10 years old too. I think it's probably a diaphram thats gone but just...
