securespark I said the"work" involved did not take the brains of britain. I have come on hear to ask the experts for a bit of advice on the clever parts of rewiring which i am not to sure about.

davy_owen_88 At the end of the day i believe that for your average standalone cooker at 26 meter cable run with 30 amp fuse is ample. and as for the work involved it does not require the brains of britain.

I am fitting a new cooker for someone, small single oven combined grill, i believe 1.3 kw ( INDESIT K3E1WG ). not an MCB but a fuse carrier. will it be 30 amp fuse ? will it be 6mm cable ( aprox 26 metre run ) ? and what connects the cooker outlet to the cooker? same 6 mm cable or 2.5 / 4mm...

in the boiler booklet the only flow switch is the "COLD water flow switch" which is in between the cold water inlet filter and cold water flow limiter, is that the part i am after relacing? thanks.

boiler appears to be keeping pressure, nice one. Just need to sort the other problem out now, no hot water unless the heating is on

Thanks for the info. will screw a cap onto air vent. pumped up the expansion vessel to 1 BAR, all seems well at the mo. one problem still remains though! no hot water unless I turn heating on. water runs cold, put heating on water runs hot.

located expansion vessel, looks easy enough job. Another problem had for a while, I get a leak every so often, did not know where from until now, It leaks from the automatic air vent on top of the Air separator ???
