    As breezer said, the blue and yellow wires are usually used for two way switching. Perhaps on your fan / light it is so that the fan can be switched on with the light either on or off.

    wiring a new light fitting

    How about when I took off my bedroom light once and found four cables of grey rubber. One connected to one terminal in the lamp holder, two twisted together in the other terminal and another one loose on it's own. :shock: Suffice to say I replaced the whole upstairs light circuit promptly.

    I would say that either the lock is faulty thus being able to open the door at anytime or the pump is faulty and not getting rid of the water. I'm not a expert but I have had the same experience. The door was faulty.
