    Unbelievable

    A mate at work told me about his relative who found a fault on some agricultural machine that had a hydraulic leak. On close inspection he found the fine mist escaping, put his finger in it and promptly lost the end of it! Oh, and never let compressed air blow onto your skin either!

    thanks industryspark - i have bought a suitably rated socket already. I think that i would probably fit a small enclosure (in the house) with a 30mA ELCB. Would that be ok or not necessary? I also fancy putting a socket and a light in my shed - would that mean making a fused spur rather than...

    Very uneven concrete floor

    Sounds very similar to my kitchen floor. I had it tiled 2 years ago but a lot of the tiles have broken because the installer used dot and dab instead of a full mortar bed.     Installing outside socket

    I have a similar wish. I want to spur off the socket ring in the kitchen and fit an external socket via an RCD. Our kitchen has its own ring main on a dedicated RCD in the consumer unit. So, is this allowed and if so is it a DIY job or not?
