    Is Screwfix forum down today?

TBH I very rarely post, since they stopped private messages it became very hard to offer personal advice out of the glare of the public eye, which a lot of people preferred. I primarily lurk these day unfortunately. Also, and the main reason I suppose, was the blatant admin misuse of banning etc...

Texecom Premier Elite 24 - Displays Zones on Keypad when in day mode/default

I can, enter the engineer code-it should display 'program zones', press 3, then yes, will take you into 'Global options'. Scroll to 'System config', press enter, type in 56, if you're on 'view open zones' press no, and it should change to no. Press menu a few times until the display asks if you...

Texecom Premier Elite 24 - Displays Zones on Keypad when in day mode/default

This is probably being caused by this parameter, it can only be altered using the engineering menus.

    Texecom connect / smartcom issue

Just wondered, as i had a system suffer a lightening/surge, took out one of two keypads, the panel, an expander, dualcom, and two of the pir's, the smartcom survived, followed normal procedures on the cloud to 'replace' panel, but still had connection issues, Texecom advised me to check IP...

Texecom adding wireless keypad or sounder

The panel will support a maximum of 24 zones, the panel has 8 zones on-board, to use more zones you fit an 8 zone expander, expander 1 will give you zones 9-16, expander 2 will give you zones 17-24. If you want to incorporate wireless devices you can fit an expander that will allow wireless...

Texecom adding wireless keypad or sounder

If you have the engineer code you can confirm how many zones you are using, if you have a wireless expander fitted etc, and a plethora of other things relating to the system, as long as you know what you're doing/looking for-you can also seriously muck stuff up if you dont!

    Gardtec 300 Query

Is there a contact on your exit door?, if so give it a few sharp taps, sometimes they can stick causing the system to not see the door shutting.

Texecom adding wireless keypad or sounder

You're approaching this from the wrong angle, sort the issues of the alarm going off, not make sure you can be woken up if it does!. Because no one will take a blind bit of notice, when you want them too, if it activates regularly.

Did you then set the smartcom into AP mode, connect to it's wifi directly using it's IP address of 192.168.2.1, and its pass phrase, then give it details of the new network you want it to connect to?.

Rotary Lawn Mower Breaks a Window.

I remember a job a few years ago, I was installing an intruder system, and i had to run a cable behind a big, antique looking wall unit on feet, I mentioned this to the lady of the house who brought to our attention that one leg was just propped, as it had come adrift during a move previously...

    Texecom smartcom cloud led flashing

Ideally when faced with a router change, just giving the new one the same SSID and password, will allow everything that did connect to reconnect as normal. The latest firmware for a smartcom is 4.x, so I can only assume you mean control panel firmware which is 6.x the most recent. What procedure...

    PIR swap

The bell/sounder isn't connected correctly, assuming its an externally one-the tamper for that is connected to the global tamper terminals, it shouldn't be-why there are two cables associated with the sounder circuit is anyones guess. The detectors haven't got any tampers connected, those...
