I've got a 240v Drayton HTS3 cylinder stat which I think is designed to work with 240v. My question is can I use it with a 24V low voltage common or does the stat itself need 240v in order to operate ? If I can't use it are there any alternative other than external relay ?

Hello All The last thread I can find about this is from 2004 and there was no conclusion. I have a V4043H on some 28mm pipe. Can I buy a 22mm V4043B1257 (i.e. normally open valve) like this one www.ebay.co.uk/itm/235808292122 take the head off and fit it to my existing one ?

Your combination of trades is the best possible IMO - will encourage my son to do something like that if he shows interest. Hmm a new 28mm NO valve would be about £115. Might be easier to fit something like this to reverse the NO/NC signal. Don't think its a safety critical issue as no valves...
