Thanks Nige F for suggesting contacting local water authority. They have been out this afternoon and cleared it.:) They now just have to come back and find the plunger which fell off when helpful mate tried to use rods! :( I think there's a lesson to be learned there. :oops:

Thank you all so much for the information! This morning the levels don't appear to have risen despite usage of the loo which is baffling us somewhat! Will see how the rods go and then consider next course of action. :) Many thanks again. :)
