Yeah thats why ive got it set to 60, ill give a thermometer a go if i can find one. Pump seems ok. Heard it kick in when water turned on, albeit whirring a bit to start, then turned temp down and it stopped

Ok, does the cylinder not need to stay around 60 though to kill bacteria?

Hot Water Cylinder - Water Too Hot (Ed.)

Hi all, just moved into our first property with a water tank and conventional boiler. Boiler has a temp dial (Main 24) annoyingly that has no indication of what the temp values actually are! Tank has its own temp setting which I have set at just under 60. But if tap is turned to the hot side...

Moving Bathroom Extractor from Light Switch to Own Switch

Sorted it. The fan has a setting to delay manual start by 50 seconds and that was turned on

Moving Bathroom Extractor from Light Switch to Own Switch

So it stayed off, but nothing happens when I try to turn it on with the switch. Humidistat still works though as just tested that. I just want to the option to manually turn the fan on. Maybe I should give it half an hour and see if the switch turns it on then

Moving Bathroom Extractor from Light Switch to Own Switch

Ignore that, if I turn off at isolation switch and then back on it stays off....but the new switch doesnt turn it on when i press it unless it has a temp shutdown period after turning it off and I need to wait a few minutes

Moving Bathroom Extractor from Light Switch to Own Switch

Ok and the L wire on the fan still remains in its 'original' position back in one of the other switches or does that move too?

Moving Bathroom Extractor from Light Switch to Own Switch

Actually thinking about this again, I think I will go down the 3 switch route as it may be useful to have the manual mode. So on the 3 gang switch I move the LS wire over to L1 on the 'new' switch? What about the other wire for perm live?

Moving Bathroom Extractor from Light Switch to Own Switch

Yeah that's fine, ill see how we get on with it. As long as the humidistat is doing its job I shouldnt need to turn it on manually anyway

Moving Bathroom Extractor from Light Switch to Own Switch

Thanks, yeah I don't really see the point in the third switch in this scenario, as I have the isolator above the door already to switch it off/back on if I ever need to for any reason

Moving Bathroom Extractor from Light Switch to Own Switch

Thanks. Yeah the fan also comes on as manual override when you turn the light switch on which I dont want it to do. Am I disconnecting the LS extractor end or switch end or doesn't it matter?

Moving Bathroom Extractor from Light Switch to Own Switch

I have a Envirovent Sil100HT Humidistat Extractor in the bathroom with L N and Ls connections in the unit. It has its own isolator switch above the door but only seems to come on with the light switch. I want to change it so that the fan can be controlled independently from the light switch or...

    Name of this plug/connection?

It may be more of a junction box than a driver they are connected to, so not sure if using DC still works?

Is Fitting Tado Going to be Straight Forward in this House?

Hi all, just moved house and brought my Tado system with me and will look to get it installed in the next few days or so. I installed it myself at the old house using their very good and detailed instructions that they provide. That house was a combi though and this house is conventional and...
