    Thanks The new fittings do not need earth connection.. I will take the indistinguishable sheating off this weekend and see if it is the earth. Doesc it make it easier if it is the earth cable ? Thanks again.....

    The photos are here. There are 4 lights in the room. One pair is working fine. They are operated by the switch on the left as you look at the switch from the room side. The other pair ( not working) have 2 black wires and one red. Maybe one brown sleeved. Can you advise.

    Hello I have 2 separate lights both connected by the same light switch. One has 2 red wires and a black wire The other has 2 black wires and a red. How should these be connected to each light. The light fittings only have 2 connections. Thanks.

    I am not living at the property. So can’t do it now. The thermocouple may be faulty ?? Presumably I need a gsr to replace it. There is a tiny nut at the bottom. ?

    Hi all Still not there yet. !! Can’t get it to light with the crown. Have noticed that the flame goes out when I take my finger of the control knob. Is that significant or to be expected. Here are some more photos. Thanks again all

    Yes I have these covers. The one on the bottom left works fine with the cover on. The centre one does not. It lights with the cover off and a match stick.

    Yes Have just tried it. It lights with a match. Stays alight. When i put the cover on it does not light at all.
