Does the PIR itself light up when you move in front of it? If not you may have the power wires back to front. If it does light up then the alarm circuit is open, make sure the all wires are in place correctly.

It’s a glitch on those panels, earlier software! Once you come out of the keypad menu, the system briefly looses coms with the keypad and shows an RS485 error. Just clear it by resetting alarm in the usual way.
