Building a summer house will have osb walls. what’s the purpose of the tyvek rap.
I’ve watched a few vids and they all staple tyveck to the osb then clad in whatever you like buts what’s the purpose of tyveck is it to more water proof the osb
My view lol condensing boilers ain’t worth nothing if the it’s not actually condensing.
Although lack of servicing usually means an emergency call out to clean out a condense
I’d still rather have a old heat only without a thermostat just set low on boiler stat all day
If you ain’t touched nothing or had work done it’ll be the ballcocks in toilet or tank.
If not you need a plumber as could be anything from a stone at the stopcock to a slightly leaking washing machine valve.
trust me I’ve seen it all!
Yes 2.5 within 2 meters of boundary. Do they generally allow you to apply for planning permission afterwards if someone has a problem with it.
It’s being built properly and neatly.
Have you got a combi or tanks in the loft?
Either way go to the toilet and look at the inlet valve(ballcock) and tap it down so a little bit of water enters the toilet and see if it makes the noise.
Just tap it so it opens and closes quickly
Like the title says I’ve got a 1930 semi and a bit of damp in the walls above skirting board internally.
Upon digging outside the damp course is below floor level and bridges by this plinth of render. why would they of done this
is this how they used to dampproof.
As I don’t know what to do
It’s ventilated by only half the air bricks.
If I dig it out I’ll end up with probably a 300mm drop from external floor height to top of gravel line as I can’t lower mine and the neighbours drive haha.
Gonna look crap.
I’m wondering if they put the plinth there as they knew they were going to...
I’m building a summerhouse aiming for 3 meters at front total height as I’m 6ft4 and need headroom.
If someone grasses me up for planning permission would I be told to rip it down or do you think they may be lenient for 500mm
I know it’s kinda of a god knows question but if anyone has had any...
Well it ain’t piped up wrong so he should just get a complete motorised valve and then fit it. He could fit the head easily and give it a go. If it’s still an issue then he’s gotta change the full thing.
Easy
Yes it’s the valve body. It’s a diverter so diverts water right or left ect or both. Go on YouTube and just search how a y plan works. It will give you lots of info so you’ll understand what your doing more.
Don’t be worried. I call the brass the valve and the head the actuator. like I said before when it’s all cold turn the hot water only on. Then only 2 pipes at the valve should get hot. The one on the right coming down to the valve is from the boiler and the other 2 are one for heating one for...
