    I have a Rothenburger blow torch. I use the yellow Mapp has for heating up seized bolts on cars and the blue propane gas for plumbing jobs although the yellow gas is okay for both as long as you go careful with it. Yellow is hotter.

    How about a rad valve spanner? I use a Rothenburger ratchet rad valve spanner which has various sizes built on the shaft, going from small to a lot larger. Dont know what exact sizes are but I wouldn't leave home without it :wink:

    Buy a decent pipebender. I have a Rothenburger and am quite satisfied with it. :D You do not need to heat the pipe when using a spring. :shock:

    you dont need to measure your upstairs tap pressure, just measure the height of the tank above the tap 1m = 0.1 bar

    Wowsers:shock: I would get onto their website and tell them off...........I did to Rothenburger when a hacksaw lasted a short while, and they replaced it, free. and gave me some goodies too. and I got me money back from the shop I bought it at :) Easy to do on the web. :wink:

    Screw on a cylinder or the end of a pipe? Ive got a Rothenburger something or other with built in igniter (a must-have IMO). It's ok, but there are others, just it was the only one in the shop at the time. Bullfinch is a good make, but there are lots of makes of cars on the road, obviously...

    i must agree with chris about benders rothenburg have got to be the worst iused to have a pair of red record which i found to be the best.hilmore benders last approx two years,arm snaps as do bolts on the hook.blue record about the same now use tripod much better but bulky.

    ...is what the lead is dressed over and can be removed once the lead is removed, at that point if you wish you can add celotex insulation and the ply over the top and then go with alan 333 suggestion. And with such a small area to do you could do that with a hand held rothenburger being a plumber.
