Water test (pressure) new CH pipework

...2.5 bar if necessary. 5. Make sure pressure holds at 2.5 bar for 1 hour. If you want to do it properly: a. Hire a pressure pump (e.g. Rothenberger RP50) b. Take the boiler out of the circuit as you don't want excess pressure in it. Disconnect flow and return and temporarily join them. c...

    Re-plumbing my pipework for basin

    Bending plastic covered oil pipe

I would like to be able to make some accurate bends in 10mm plastic covered oil pipe (which has an overall OD of about 12mm). Am I expecting too much? Maybe I should use plain pipe and a conventional bend tool (Rothenberg for example). Any guidance much appreciated.

    Possible Water Leak!

...I thought I would think about a possible leak and what to do next. I've googled water leaks etc etc and I decided to purchase a Rothenberger Water Pressure Gauge with a 3/4"BSP fitting to try. Now to familiarize myself with this and my new found knowledge and the help of a screwdriver I...

Bernzomatic TS7000 repair or spare parts source

...anyone can suggest how I could try to unblock that without making the hole bigger than it should be, I think the only way to fix it is going to be finding a source for the part. Does anyone know a supplier for Bernzomatic spares, or any compatible (Rothenberger?) parts? Thank in advance...

    Does anyone recognise this?

...to send a number of people into a full-on mouth-frothing, eye-bulging rage which they vented by behaving like spoilt children. AFAICT, Rothenberger just re-badge other people's tools, so the Superfire 2 is a Bernzomatic, the Superfire 3 is a Sievert. You may be using it infrequently, but...

    Does anyone recognise this?

I don't want to pay for a Rothenberger on the basis that I am using this on a DIY and infrequent basis. I used the torch I sent a picture of and found it very easy and adequate. I don't want to cut corners but, with everything said, what should I be going for? Both of these seemed okay...

    Does anyone recognise this?

    What Adjustable Spanners?

...starting to build up my tool kit and at the moment only have some cheap adjustable spanners which are a nightmare when I'm upside down under a sink. Am just wondering what ones everyone uses? Seen a set of Rothenbergers that come with covers to go over the jaws for when using chrome. Cheers...

    Gas-Torch recommendation(s)

...any more, so I'll try to draw a line under what's happened. In summary, I've had these torches recommended: Turbotorch TX504 Rothenberger Superfire Rothenberger trigger torch Monument Vulcane GoSystem Quick Pro Swivel Nerrad Firejet It would be nice if all those of you who think that...

    Gas-Torch recommendation(s)

$64,000. Oh, no - hang on - that's the question, not the answer... :D If we take the "benchmark", if you like, of the Rothenberger trigger torch or SF2, that's around £70-80-90 . So that's OK. If a HokiKoki Big Kahuna Turbodickswinger that gives the options I mentioned above comes in at a...

    Pressure testing radiator pipework

...be fine to release air as well? I assume it will as per your post but didn't know whether air releasing requires a minimal opening capacity like the type you have on a radiator vent - With the Rothenberger Pressure Tester, what type of fitting does it have? I will want to connect to 22mm copper

    Propane torch leaking?

Haven't ever heard anyone say that about Rothenberger torches. In my experience they last about five years, which is pretty good for a tool that's used almost every day

    Gas-Torch recommendation(s)

I think you'll find that it is not I who has had any involvement with the 'Rothenberger Superfire no Rothenberger trigger torch no Nerrad Firejet no Victor Turbotorch no GoSystem Quickpro...' "debate", other than saying that my experience of a GoSystem product makes me reluctant to buy another...
