Should there be a general election when Starmer gets booted?

A bit different - one was a political decision the country took indefinitely, and the other is a decision that is taken every 5 years. And by the looks of those comments, I am only pointing out when the cause for complaints is that mad decisions!

2/3 British voters believe lies about immigration

So why did it take until after 2016 did immigration to surge to all times highs, under Tories? Those floodgates that you claim were opened didn't cause the flood.

2/3 British voters believe lies about immigration

Lol. 14 years of Tory failure, and you blame Labour? You do know that Brexit is the main cause, don't you?

    Reform Policies

Remember this is the same Nigel Farage that had a massive influence on the pro-Brexit vote, and conned the voters. He promised less immigrants, instead the numbers went up. He also said there would be less asylum seekers/small boats, instead the numbers went up because the UK can no longer send...

To all those that welcome/encourage the small boat migrants.

If only there was a way we could know that quickly and easily. Oh, there is. But we voted to stop doing that, as we wanted to "take back control". Which means, it takes years to process asylum seekers now. Thank you Brexiteers!

Reform party ditch all the tax cuts they promised

No, we are being taxed to help keep the country running after the total disaster of Brexit and the tumbling economy it has caused. You literally voted for this. Remember the promise that we'll all be better off in 50 years? Only 40 years to go. Some reports estimate the total cost to the UK...

Reform will stop the small boats within two weeks ...

Almost every nation that invaded us by boat succeeded. Romans, Saxons, Angles, Vikings, Normans ... The Spanish Armada failed, possibly the only one? Most of Britain is a compassionate and caring country, saving people at sea is something we're proud of. Providing refuge to those who need it...

Blimey. This petition is gaining some signatures.

Not at all. It's just disgruntled Tory voters and bots filling it in. And it means nothing. Remember the cancel Brexit petition?

Bloody Foreigners Taking our jobs? Brexit was supposed to stop this

Non-EU. Says it all. We all said this would happen after Brexit. We need labour, short and simple. We can chose to have it from the EU, along with other benefits. Or take it from the rest of the world, with fewer benefits. It's what we voted for, so don't complain!

Tory party to change back to imperial measurements

It's obviously really, as it will only cost British businesses more to go back to imperial. And these daft old politicians seem to have forgotten than everybody going into work today, and most working in factories etc. are all brought up on metric. And warehouse systems, retail, supply chain...

    Brexit positives

Another Brexit positive - we won't be forced to tear up our countryside for new rail lines. In fact, it looks like we've scrapped HS2 and diverted the money back to London where it is needed!

I went to Spain this week and despite what the anti-Brexit scaremongers on here said……

...they may not be able to get on the plane. Passports were checked at the same time. Somebody else asked why, the staff said it was because of Brexit. Silly conversation with a British man at mobile desk, who asked me little other than did I have a nice holiday, and he stamps my boarding pass...

I went to Spain this week and despite what the anti-Brexit scaremongers on here said……

Yes, but why would they say it is a Brexit check. Also, this stamp was not at the boarding desk by Swiss air, it was a mobile stand manned by UK border control staff.

I went to Spain this week and despite what the anti-Brexit scaremongers on here said……

Yes, but what does this have to do with Brexit?

I went to Spain this week and despite what the anti-Brexit scaremongers on here said……

...into Switzerland, or the EU, but going into the UK. This a was an additional UK passport check at the gate. I can't see how it is related to Brexit or Schengen. The man said that if our boarding passes were not stamped then we would not be able to get on the plane. Utterly bizarre, seeing...

I went to Spain this week and despite what the anti-Brexit scaremongers on here said……

...and had to get my boarding pass stamped at the departure gate, after having already gone through customers. The reason given by Swiss Air was Brexit. How is that relevant? Weird. No major hassle, small flight, but left a lot of people perplexed. And I am not sure what happened to all those...

Fruit and veg ‘will run out’ unless Britain charters planes to fly in farm workers from Europe

...plants), just like this year. British farmers have been struggling to find enough workers due to tougher immigration rules in the wake of Brexit. This led the government to increase the number of seasonal farmworker visas from 15,000 in 2022 to 45,000 in 2023. Up to 55,000 seasonal visas...

UK to Rwanda asylum plan ruled unlawful

I'm not sure what this really has to do with Brexit. Sending non-EU asylum seekers halfway around the world at a massive cost to the taxpayer, as well as making us all look like "the bad guys", is not a leave/remain issue. I'd like to think some pro-Brexit people were also outraged at this...

    Farage speaks about B.....

Yep! But, he was a tory, so his fault still! He only left the Tories to do Brexit, because of the things the Tories had done so he shouldn't be surprised that they then didn't do other things properly. But that is all a fallacy, ie that it is possible to make something good of it. Sometimes, no...

    Farage speaks about B.....

Well, I wasn't expecting to read this today. "Brexit has failed, says Nigel Farage" "But frankly, we have not delivered on borders, we have not delivered on Brexit, the Tories have let us down very badly." https://www.standard.co.uk/news/politics/brexit-has-failed-nigel-farage-b1081352.html...
