WB 24i Greenstar Jnr - Primary Heat Exchanger Irreplaceable?

Not a fan then eh? :P Bearing in mind I have one already, and don't have £1400 to spend - is the repair really not that worth while?

WB 24i Greenstar Jnr - Primary Heat Exchanger Irreplaceable?

Hi, Hope somebody can help. We have a Worcester Bosch 24i Junior Greenstar installed around 2006. Since then we have replaced all the radiators in the house, and had various losses of hot water from clogged plate heat exchangers. We lost the hot water again recently (cycling hot /...

    Removing Purlin Supports / Struts

I have the specs for the padstones too from the original SE. Is there not some chart or conversion where I can find the equivalent steel to the spec'd timber beam? Or where I can put all the calculations in I have already? All the hard work in terms of all the loads has been calculated...

    Removing Purlin Supports / Struts

I'm more worried about "safe" than "BC passed" at this stage. As mentioned in the original posts complying with current regulations is simply impossible given the current layout / situation. I have all the calculations from the SE here, just they have specified a timber beam that is never...

Fitting Tiles Around Velux Loft Window Problem

I had considered moving the window across, but it's a going to be be a pain to redo the work - not to mention its nicely central at the moment in the room. Was hoping might be another solution.

Fitting Tiles Around Velux Loft Window Problem

Hi, I'm after some advise as I'm having trouble getting the tiles to line up with my velux. Both sides finish almost flush with the flashing, so there is little to no room for a slice of a tile to cover the gap. The tiles are Redland 49, and to my knowledge there is no 'tile and a half'...

Water. Solenoid & UK Socket Confusion!

The incoming will be going through a HMA filter, don't worry about that side of things. It's the electrics side of things I need the help with. :D

Water. Solenoid & UK Socket Confusion!

Without boring you with too much detail on the specifics of keeping fish... There will be a standpipe in the tank half way up, so I'll drain down to 50% at the most. There will also be another standpipe above the water line again to the drains, so the water level cannot exceed the top of the...

Water. Solenoid & UK Socket Confusion!

:D :D The general idea is one solenoid opens to allow water to drain from the aquarium (which is already heated). The other opens later to let cold water in from the mains.

Water. Solenoid & UK Socket Confusion!

Not that I can see sadly! I've spend best part of a day & 1/2 looking into this so far with not much luck. :? There is one for injecting CO2 into the tank exactly like what I need, just ofcourse thats for gas only.... http://www.co2supermarket.co.uk/co2-solenoid-regulator.html Ideally...

Water. Solenoid & UK Socket Confusion!

It will be cold water going in, and "warm" water out (max is going to be 28C). At a guess the valve will be open for somewhere between 15-30 mins, how do I find out if this is an issue? That one you linked, would I need to take the end off and put different connectors?

Water. Solenoid & UK Socket Confusion!

Had thought it would be solder directly onto the tabs? Open to ideas. When you said before the whole thing needs to be inside a casing, can you buy these - do they have a special name?

Water. Solenoid & UK Socket Confusion!

This is what I wanted to check. :D So can I take flex (no earth) direct from a 3 pin plug to one of the faston tabs each if using the 230v solenoid?

Water. Solenoid & UK Socket Confusion!

Wondered if anybody can help - I'm going mental here! I want an automatic system to let water into my aquarium. The 'idea' to combine my 7 day timer from Argos (www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/9822911.htm) with a "normally closed" solenoid valve attached to some 15mm pipe. What I...

Redland 49 'Tile And A Half' For A Velux?

Thanks for the replies. Have you ever combined the two tiles? The middle bulge seems a lot bigger... http://roofrepairglasgow.net/redland%20tile%20%20range.html Thanks

Redland 49 'Tile And A Half' For A Velux?

Hi I have put a velux window in, and annoyingly on both sides the tiles naturally end pretty much flush with the edge of the flashing. This leaves nothing exposed to hang a slice of a tile on. I could nudge the whole window along 15cm to have a half tile on each side. Ideally I want the...
