    vailant Expansion vessell presure?

I found the ridiculousely thin copper tube to the dial was broken, when I dropped the bottom door I got sprayed with water ha ha. The tube was traight and got caught on the inside of door, i replaced with new one and kept it slightely coiled, filled to just under 1 bar, seems ok now (cross fingers).

Before starting, I must say that I'm a retired gas fitter of 11 years now I have a Vaillant Ecotec Plus which is 17 years old, inherited it when we moved in :) Anyway, there is a problem. I had to fill the system every morning, so I checked The expansion vessel and found the Schrader valve...

Cleaning CH system using Sentinel X800

Well, I rinsed twice and look's like all the 800 is out, refilled with Sentinal 100, and back to normal. Thanks for taking the time to help me, everyone.(y)

Cleaning CH system using Sentinel X800

I did say AFTER I've drained the X800 I realise I have to drain that all out, just wondered if just draining it all out will be OK to fill with X100 as the system was clean on the first drain off.. It's such a pain getting to the drain cocks in the lounge and Kitchen (down feeds)

Cleaning CH system using Sentinel X800

Sorry, meant to say.... As it was pretty clear when I drained it, do you think I'll get away with just filling straight away with sentinal 100? after I've drained the X800?

Cleaning CH system using Sentinel X800

Yes I did look and clean the magnet, which didn't seem to be very magnetic to me, it must be working, as quite a lot of sludge around it I gave it a good clean, so hopefully, it'll still be working well. Still on high at the moment. One hour gone, I'll leave it running for another couple of...

Cleaning CH system using Sentinel X800

Right I'm fully drained now, and the water was pretty clear, which I did;t expect, The Magnatron (or whatever it's called) was black and a small bit of crud on it, cleaned that up. I have put the X800 in the top of the kitchen rad, so when filled I hope it'll circulate OK.

Cleaning CH system using Sentinel X800

Of course, I'll be draining the system after It's been running with x800 for several hours, >Draining then filling again to flush etc. ;) But I'd still like to know if it's worth running the H/Water with the X800 in, or will it put some of the crud from the rads through it?

Cleaning CH system using Sentinel X800

I'm not doing it today now, the wife wants to go out for a few hours, so it's gonna be tomorrow m And yes, I will drain rinse, and then fill with 800, , so I can leave the system on for a couple of hours While she's out (she doesn't like too much heat) :D .

Cleaning CH system using Sentinel X800

Interesting info guys, I'm about to administer X800 tomorrow into my 16 year old Vailant ecoTec s plus system, then add 100. Im a tad worried that the H/W plate might get some crud in it, as MickyG said. Would it probably be safer NOT to run the water maybe?

We have an oldish Elica 140B extractor built-in on top of our cooker with a slide-open door. Does anyone know where I can get a set of instructions (user manual) please? I took it all apart, but erm I cannot seem to get it together again, stupid I know. It looks easy enough, but, it's rather...
