Heard back from Grant. For the archives, the pressure switch disappeared from 2014 combis onwards when the existing 12 litre expansion vessel was replaced with a 24-litre one. If you have an external pressure vessel to supplement the 12 litre one for earlier combis, the switch can be capped.

If I just snip the wires a couple of inches from the switch, bare back and connect together, I take it that would work too? I'm just trying to avoid taking the board to bits if I don't need to.

But it isn't! The low pressure LED's flashing but water pressure is steady at one bar. No CH or hot water. Is there a pressure switch somewhere?

Think the other rads need to be turned down. Turn hottest down a turn, then next hottest and so on. When you get close, eg your cold rad's warming up, adjust 1/2 to 1/4. This is an oversimplification of balancing, but it'll get you in the right direction.

I'm no plumber but I guess the experts will want to know the model of boiler and whether it has pressure. Can you take a couple of pics and post?

For the archive, the thermistor fixed the issue. If the DHW LED flashes once per second (rather than twice), it's the PCB, says Grant.

Many thanks. I have a thermistor on its way so will try first. If it still messes I'll look at the board.

Teeny update. Checked connection at PCB and at store and it worked for a short time, so new thermistor ordered. However, where it sits seems full of muck, which I can probably clean with a cotton bud or similar. Is this normal? And I take it the circlip just holds the wire and nothing else!
