Does anyone know what kind of curtain rail bracket this is?

They are old, but I thought I might as well just buy the clips as a stop gap.

What kind of fuse is this?

Well I replaced the fuse and it worked, so fingers crossed it stays that way. Thanks.

Does anyone know what kind of curtain rail bracket this is?

I need to order some more but I can’t find them anywhere online!

What kind of bulb is this?

Never seen one of these before and I need to buy a replacement. I presume you need to take it out by unscrewing with a screwdriver?

What kind of fuse is this?

I don’t think it has a lamp at all.

No. The unit seems to be getting absolutely no power.

What kind of fuse is this?

So there’s basically no point replacing fuses to fix a broken microwave?

What kind of fuse is this?

Thanks. Is that a decent one to get? I think the problem came from having the microwave in our freezing cold garage.

What kind of fuse is this?

i haven’t got the tools to test. I was just going to replace because fuses are cheap. Can I not just replace and hope for the best?

What kind of fuse is this?

I’m trying to repair a microwave that suddenly stopped working. I tried changing the fuse at the plug but it didn’t fix it, so now I’m trying the fuse inside the microwave. I mistakenly assumed it would be the same size as a standard plug fuse when I ordered a replacement but it’s actually quite...

    Diagnosing damp patch under radiator?

Thanks. I took the cover off. It is a thermostatic value, just a very old one. There was a load of green funk, which I cleaned and then I tightened the top nut. That seems to have fixed it.

    Diagnosing damp patch under radiator?

Actually I think the leak is coming from the top of the thermostatic value and dripping down, as you can see here:

    Diagnosing damp patch under radiator?

I can't see any signs of corrosion. However I think I've found the source of the leak. You can see a water drop coming out of the bit where the radiator connects to the pipework. There some water around the connection on the vertical pipe as well, but that could be leaking from above:

    Diagnosing damp patch under radiator?

I noticed a patch of damp 50cm in diameter around the pipe to the left of my living room radiator this morning. What could the cause of that be? (I’d rather try and fix it myself before calling out a plumber.)

Thanks guys. I fixed it in the end. It was because the signal booster was unplugged. TV back working again!

Microwave died after being left in garage. Anything I can do?

I have a microwave that is virtually brand new. We were trying to save space so we put it in the garage over winter and used it from there, but it died after a particularly cold spell. Is there anything I can do? I can't seem to find anyone who can repair a microwave locally, and it might not...

Just moved house, poor TV reception in living room. Can I move aerial signal booster?

Sorry I mistyped. I meant that there are coax cables going to a roof aerial on both rooms, but the signal booster is in the ‘wrong’ room.

Just moved house, poor TV reception in living room. Can I move aerial signal booster?

The house we've just moved into has TV aerials in the room at the front of the house and the room at the back. We want to use the back room as a living room, but we can't get any TV signal. The room at the front of the house however has great reception, because it's got a Wolsey WSM100/1 signal...

How do I wire this electric cooker? (pics inside)

Okay, one last check if I may. This is how I stripped the wires. I hope it's okay: It's hard to explain how I wired this cable to the cooker, but the screws visible from the front of the terminal block open up a gap between the two bits of metal visible in this image (i.e., the larger...
