Am i sure, to honest no, its just we noticed that the main visible fan inside the oven does not kick in when the oven is turned on, and when i researched this everything says it should, the oven element glows very red ( but does not trip) and when the hidden cooling fan kicks in the main fan...

Your probably right, whipping it later today to have a look.

Just had a thought, does anyone know if the fan motor is a 2 phase motor with it coming on when the cooling fan kicks in but not when you put it on fan only

Its cooled down and the fan doesn't start, it turns by hand ok

I was thinking that, so have turned the oven on and am running it through a self clean to see if that helps, then i will strip down and check the fan out, i am just looking at possible causes right now so i don't jump to conclusions and replace the motor then realize it was something else.

Hi all i have the above fan assisted oven, we have an issue with the fan in as much as the main fan initially doesnt come on until the 2nd cooling fan kicks in then it kicks in and thereafter works ok with no issues, cooks fine doesnt overheat.

Now i dont have a multimeter but there is power to the white all the time,using only a circuit tester screwdriver .

Just had another look,when the hot water is turned on the valve goes straight to mid point.Turn water off central heating on valve goes to h turn heating off valve stays in h postion as it should,the problem is why is the valve going straight to mid point when water only turned on.

cheers ..have had a quick look at the link will look more indepth tomorrow ...the fact that the valve rests in the h postion does travel to the w postion then travels to the midpoint but wont then go back to the h position when only calling for water but then does go to the h postion when...

Hi all we have a Honeywell 3 Port Mid Position Valve V4073A 1039 which is heating the rads when hot water is on .....when powered down the valve rests in the w position and there is resistance over the last 2 thirds when moving the manual lever when i power up again with hot water only calling...

Compression or pushfit which is best ???

I want to remove a rad and pipework from an open vented system from the kitchen, removing the pipes from under the upstairs floorboards, where the pipes are joined if i just heat the joint up will i be able to seperate the pipes or is it a permanent seal that has to be cut
