Not that I know of. Ill take a picture of the piping under the boiler tonight. Thing is, if there was which I don't think there is, wouldn't this affect all hot water including the taps (which all are piping hot)

hiya its from the combi hot/mains cold. also to add I done the "reset thermostat" on the mixer shower as told to do my the manufacturer which didn't make a difference - turn all the way to cold until you hear a click, then slowly turn to hot

I took the new box into garden, wired it up and poured water down the basin hole. For some reason the blades were spinning and waste pipe took some water away then it all stopped and done nothing. Wired up old box poured water in and blades werent spinning (didnt think they should anyway)...

hmmm. From what I can remember when i poured a pint of water down the waste pipe, was that the little black flap was there. So I assume the non return valve is doing its job...

Hi It has a few bends in it from the box but then pretty much horizontal to the floor (runs under kitchen) to manhole in extension. Been fine for last 5 years... Thanks
