Can I run grey water into a soil stack?

Two questions in one here. I'm/my plumber are looking to add a bathroom where my preextension kitchen would have of been. My plumber thinks it's best to get ground works done and add a new terminal to my external drain. Probably the best option, but costly. My soil stack is very close to...

Do I need a new lintle?

It does have a slight arch in it. By 50mm or so. Plus it was originally an outside wall above a window. I plan to out a lintle in just to be safe. Something like this 65 x 100mm concrete lintle will be fine, right...

Do I need a new lintle?

Sorry, I think I confused you. I've not removed the wooden lintle and would only do if I were replacing it.. I'm was more wondering if wood is strong enough. Its been like this for 90years, so I suspect so. Thanks for the other line. I was more worried about that outer layer of bricks...

Do I need a new lintle?

Hello I'm looking to remove the window and brick work directly under a window - picture attached It had a wooden lintle roughly 3 x 8inch. I'm confused as the brick work for the cavety wall doesn't seem to be supported. Any suggestions?

Does anyone know a structural engineer? East London

Apologies, I didn't see your reply. The final plan is to remove the window and brick below the window and leave this as an opening to the room behind it. Do you think I need to reinforce the wall to the left and right of the window once the brick in the middle has been removed?

Yes, correct. So just the area underneath the window will be removed.

Does anyone know a structural engineer? East London

I've recently brought a house that has a 1970s extension on the back. The original Back wall now was a large 220 x 180cm window in, seperating it from the new extension. I want to knock the wall out below the window, only. I'm trying to get a structural engineer to tell me if this is doable...

Boiler locking out on heating but not when water is on.

Hi All, I posted someone earlier in the week and realised I've got a cowboy doing my boiler replacement. Since the minute it was installed, it hasn't worked. When turning on heating only, the boiler locks out with code f. 23 however, if you turn on heating and hot water, the system runs...

Did my gas engineer do it correctly?

Last question please. When he first arrived, he emptied the radiators into my flower bed. Is that standard, or should he have of come with a container for the water?

Did my gas engineer do it correctly?

Thanks both. I'll get back onto him.. I had a feeling he didn't do it, as I reminded him about it close to the end of the day. He obviously didn't want to stick around.

He used F3 for the cleaner. Can that be left in?

Did my gas engineer do it correctly?

It's a gravity feed vaillant. Two tanks in the loft type system. He's going to cut more ventilation into the system. I suspect he didn't put the chemicles into the system, hence he didn't need to flush.

Did my gas engineer do it correctly?

P.s I know he had two bottles with him. One was a cleaner, the other was an inhibitor? Does that still mean it could have of been a two in one.

Did my gas engineer do it correctly?

Thanks. I'll ask about the chemicals. No leaks that I can find. Heating work only if the hot water is turned on (water is also heated by the boiler). Without water on, the heating locks out. Code f. 23.

Did my gas engineer do it correctly?

Hi All, Had a new boiler installed into a house that's been dormant for 2years. Since then the system keeps crashing due to low pressure/air. We paid the have the radiators chemically cleaned. However, the engineer didn't flush them. He said the chemical he uses stays in the system. Is that...
