For the same reason that I couldn`t have full surround sound! Wife doesn`t want unsightly speakers and, in the case of the kitchen, boiler on display!

My current boiler is situated in my kitchen and sits behind a kitchen door to disguise it. Is it correct that this doesn`t meet current regulations and that the boiler should be on view without any obstruction?

This very true and I am so suspicious of getting in any tradesman because you hear so many horror stories. The cowboys drag down the good honest tradesman with them.

Got round to fitting extra security light and the junction box / wiring. Now await darkness to see if garden and side gate will shine in 150w light or whether my house will ignite in one big explosion!!

Thanks - just seen some. The purpose of the glands? Is it to stop water getting into the junction box? Presumably I take the wire from the mains supply into the junction box then feed the two security lights from the junction box?

Thanks for the replies. My intention was to do my own system but I did wonder whether a demand exists for just a power flushing service. Im meticulous in whatever I do and wouldn`t want to take on something which I could end up destroying or not properly resolving.
