Boilermate 2000 DHW - Fault Finding

If its going cold after 5 or 6 mins then its probably not the plate. The sensors can be faulty even if they dont show an error message. Wiggling the sensors can bring up an error or if the temp changes massively as you do it also proves its faulty. Terry

    Nightmare System !!! - Vokera Compact 28

Its good practice to install vents at high points. A lot of the time air can be forced through but it depends on how well the pipework has been done. If youre still hearing air then it proves that its still in your system. Air can cause huge problems in central heating systems.

    Nightmare System !!! - Vokera Compact 28

If the pipes rise above the boiler, they need automatic air vents (aav's) or at least little manual ones in them. Sounds very much like air problems.

Assuming you have an immersion, there should be a fused spur with a white flex cable coming out of it going to the cylinder. Turn if off if its on

Help! Potterton Suprima kaput- water dripping from it!

DONT take the case off if youre not a qualified gas engineer. Have a look above the boiler to make sure the flow/return pipes are not leaking/split. If theyre ok and it seems to be inside, get someone who is gas safe to look at it.

Boilermate 2000 and Myson Apollo 30B - Store slow to heat

There are 3 pumps on the boilermate. Did they change the primary pump (left hand pump)? Also, what speed setting is it set too as they like to be set to setting 3? Boiler rate should be increased to be able to deal with rads.

Can a wet pump Brake a fan in the boiler

Yeah he's talking out of his arse. A new fan won't change anything. Getting a pump wet is more likely to blow the PCB fuse. It could be air but also make sure the pump is the right way round.

Boiler under gassed - AT RISK

I dont blame that last guy for AR'ing it though. It is below the minimum working pressure and he is covering his arse. There isnt a problem running gas pipe outside as long as it is properly supported and doesnt touch wall. It also needs to be sleeved passing through the wall and sealed on...

Boiler under gassed - AT RISK

Its only AR if it prevents the appliance operating and the minimum gas input rating. If there is no flame lift and the gas rate is ok its NCS
