    Transformer for LED panel

Yeah, those.aren't cheap! I was very lucky with this. Ex-university panels. The seller hasn't had much luck so he's dropped the price down to £5 a panel and he showed me it working before he took payment. If he still has some next payday I'm going to go grab a few more!

    Transformer for LED panel

Perfect, I was hoping it'd be that simple! Thanks.

    Yep.

    Transformer for LED panel

Yes. That's what I was asking about. What power supply I need to get. If I can just switch the plug that's on the transformer it already has for a 3-pin like the seller had, I'll do that.

    Transformer for LED panel

I don't want to wire it directly into the mains, I want a normal plug that I can use with the mains supply!

    Transformer for LED panel

Yes. It plugs into a special socket which I don't have, and I want this to be pluggable into the mains. Also, no box, I got this second hand. Which reminds me actually, the guy had a transformer wired to a plug just for demos for buyers so that might be the easiest option for me.

    Transformer for LED panel

I picked this panel up locally. It has a transformer, but it's the type that plugs into a ceiling fitting. I need it on a regular mains plug. What do I need to look for to fit it? I've tried the brand website but they only sell what I already have (for any models). But surely it must be doable!

    Stopcock handle broken

Adjustable spanner on the way anyway, hopefully it will do the trick!

    Stopcock handle broken

I had to use leverage to tighten it so it actually stopped the flow, though. That's what broke the handle. It is hellishly tight!

    Stopcock handle broken

Yesterday I replaced my kitchen sink and tap. The handle broke off the stopcock so now I have no running water! It's old - I've been here nearly 19 years and it predates me - and has to be turned very tightly to stop the water. I can't budge it. I also can't afford a plumber so please tell...

    Painting a piece of worktop?

Tomorrow I'm building a stand to accommodate 8 small aquariums. To do it as cheap and smooth on top as possible, it will be finished by a 4ft piece of laminated beech effect worktop that I've got spare. Usually I paint my stands black and I do not like having light bases under aquaria so I'll...

    Building a garden room

It's coming down to cost, ultimately. I've got a limited bit of money coming and I'll already have to spend a chunk on my double glazing which is about 10 years past needing doing!

    Building a garden room

Thanks guys. The poly is a flat roof, I got them when they were being replaced with a pitched solid. I'm wanting to maximise light with reusing them if I can. But, an alternative option would be corrugated tin - I've got some 4m sheets that were the original roof from other houses like mine...

    Building a garden room

I'm looking into building a garden room against my house out of mostly reclaimed materials, some of which I'll already have here - I've got a 50mm thick conservatory roof in the garage that's the size I want (approx 4x4m) and I'll have my old double glazing to use for the front and side walls...

Vokera cutting out after 15 minutes

Sorry, it's a Compact HE. Yes, condensing boiler. I've just had a closer look and the water pressure was a little low so I've upped that a bit.

Vokera cutting out after 15 minutes

I have an old vokera combi and since last night, it's only working for around 15 minutes at a time. It works normally in that time - no odd noises, all smooth, and the house heats up normally. But then it just stops. Red light, no flashing. When I first had it installed, it needed a new...

    Damaged fascia - repairable?

I can. Typo in my post - the damaged area is abut 3ft long, not 2ft.

    Damaged fascia - repairable?

I have a 50s pre-fab ex-council house with steel fascias. On the front outer edge, there is quite a bit of damage at the corner, with the fascia on the front edge of the house hanging down 4 or 5 inches and rusted at the edges. The damage is along a stretch maybe 2ft long. The rest of the...
