    hi guys, i've bought large plaster mould coving (7" project by 7" depth) and can't find a mitre box large enough to fit it. :( I've been told to make one, but i don't have a clue...any help would be appreciated pls. thanks

    I had this same problem when i moved into my property. The vent was just under floorboards and on the outside someone had raised the ground level, so the vent was only half visible. I was getting damp problems, so i reduced the ground level so that the vent was fully visible and any rainwater...

    sorry hotrod i don't understand..could you please explain further? Also i forgot to let you know...the real chimney stack is hidden within this bricked wall, so i don't think i'd affect the gasfires. This bricked wall then simply connects to the ceiling above.
