hi guys,

i've bought large plaster mould coving (7" project by 7" depth) and can't find a mitre box large enough to fit it. :(

I've been told to make one, but i don't have a clue...any help would be appreciated pls.

Thanks merlin.

The first pictured tool looks very expensive mate. Any chance you can show me how to make the thing or would i still have to buy that?

@ alarm - i'm simply wanting advice and no i don't want you to cut anything.

@ merlin - thanks mate...is this tool simple to use?

The coving i have is approx 10" (5" each way)..would this fit?

draw a square with equal sides (ie not a rectangle or a parallelogram) and join two corners. You now have a 45 degree angle to the sides of the square. If you cannot work out how to use this to make a mitre box I strongly suggest you put away any power tools or sharp objects and leave the job to someone else.
