No I appreciate the detailed response a lot, thank you.
I’ve always painted with leyland trade and I don’t think I’ve used an acrylic durable paint before. It’s definitely given me a lot to think about on going.
I’ve scraped most of the paint off now, sanded and primed with acrylic primer...
@Wayners @opps
I’ve painted a few houses with newly plastered walls. I’ve always primed them with diluted trade white to prime and then used a better paint to finish.
On the walls in my pics I have done the above but used McPherson durable acrylic Matt this time. I noticed a blister and then...
I had something similar on a wall I painted yesterday. I painted over it and it grew in size. I scrapped it back and left it to dry.
Mine is an external wall and the gutter was blocked- but it isn’t now. The wall seems bone dry. I’ll do as above and hopefully it won’t peel off.
I’m just a diyer. I’ve used the filler for our Victorian house- skirts don’t fit the wall when replaced so I’ve filled them. Hopefully it won’t crack.
I also like drywall finishing filler for walls and little dents in plaster.
I wasn’t telling anyone how it’s done.
How would you fill a gap...
Thank you very much for your helpful and informative answer.
It’s for a couple of WC’s at home. Not massive jobs but the tiles aren’t cheap, so I want something that’s stands a chance
I’ll have a look at the big clinker. Thank you again :cool:
What do the pro’s use for emulsion ? We’ve got some fancy paint and I want to give it a chance to look its best. Should I whisk in a bit of water too ?
