    ive seen it fitted on many roofs (including my folks) after theyve been cleaned and the moss is back. i was told to think of the copper in the way of diluting orange juice. the more water u get the weaker the orange juice!!!! i could show you plenty of roofs like this.

    most stacks had ladders for access for chimney sweep to clean from top. id say your wasting money as work thats getting done should keep you good for years to come. chimney can be roded from bottom if needing cleaned if still in use. any major problems would require scaffold so no need to waste...

    can u take pic from outside? looking at pic the wet area on your rafter is at top which would suggest ridging but you say drainage? is ther a dormer in area with a suspect valley?
