Lotus Cars Ltd, the Motability con, and more....

It may work out more cost effective for the taxpayer for Mobility to be limited to a single car manufacturer, preferably UK built. For example the Nissan Qashqai.

    Compost bees

During ground clearance of a back garden, I have discovered a bees nest in an old compost heap. Look like bumble rather than honey bees. How best to remove? Don't want to kill them off. Cheers Doug

    Transit van tyre problem

What are the regulations regarding the use of tubes in tyres? Does seem ridiculous to dispose a new tyre with only a minor puncture on its edge.

    Xtrail - Space Saver Wheel

Hi All My new Xtrail has been delivered and as expected it has no spare wheel, only the tyre sealant  The boot has space for a spare wheel as the hole is used by the sound system woofer which can be removed easily enough. But how do I calculate size of space saver? The Xtrail comes in...

    Insurance Transfer Saga

My problem is that a new reg plate takes a few days to get updated on government/insurance systems. In that situation, insurers ask for vehicle info but AVIVA do not recognise the vehicle. Once the car gets delivered, I need to have it insured. Have raised an online complaint to AVIVA so will...

    Faulty Cistern

All sorted - Managed to access the cistern and clean the components which were covered in a black gunge(?). Not surprising as it has been nearly 10yrs since its installation. Fortunately the worktop lifted cleanly. Thanks - JJ4091 (y)

It appears that I can just slide up / pull up the main body to increase depth of water? Is it that simple? No clips to undo?

Hi All This is a pic of one of my cisterns. You can see the old watermark showing the cistern is not filling completely. No obvious adjustment is visible. Any advice please? Cheers Doug

    Faulty Cistern

Hi All My cistern is overflowing and continues to stream slowly into the bowl for a couple of minutes, before a HISSSSSSS and then shuts off. Is this just an adjustment to fix or new valve? Unfortunately the cistern li is not easily accessible as it is concealed under a bathroom worktop. Cheers Doug

    Rachel Reeves upset

Knowing she was being shown on TV, she deliberately let the tears run down her face. Most would wipe the tears before they fell. Does she have a hidden agenda?. Seeking a sympathy vote before hitting us with more taxes? Hmmmm :unsure:

    Self-driving Cars

In a situation where traffic is managed by police/highway patrols, how does a driverless car respond to hand signals directing traffic to follow what is normally 'the wrong way' ie temporary routes using the oncoming lanes on motorways etc. How does a driverless car react to a HGV driver...

    PPF Filter

Hi All I have been avoiding diesel cars as I do not drive a lot of miles which would be problematic for the diesel engine's DPF particle filter which requires regular burning off. I have now been advised that my new lease petrol vehicle a 2025, 1.5 MHEV 163 Tekna 5dr [7 Seat] Xtronic has a PPF...
