    I am currently at a job where the plumber is using plastic pipe as the mains water to 3 separate flats in the property and then all plastic pipe for the rest of the system. Where do i stand with bonding the mains water in a situation like this then people? any advice/ knowledge on the subject...

    yeah you can do this but the electrician will need to take the same sized cable as the cooker into a fuse spur then a 2.5mm down to a socket which will be fused at 13A. Depending on the kitchen this could be a simple job but on the other hand may take him a little longer than expected :)

    course not, i performed all the tests to 7671 but as i am not a certified i wrote down all results but i cant self certify. I have seriously checked my work there is nothing wrong but i understand your worry but its ok :) I just need it "signed off"

    I have been doing a private job for a shop owner and now the job is completed (25 new flourescents and new ring) test certificate coming but a friend in work swears that you do not need to test a shop.... i disagree, its just a different form needed that the domestic installation NICEIC forms...

    In my experience i do not think the box cutters work very well, for the time they take to make any sort of impression (even on breeze block) you may aswell use hammer and bolster. I would suggest practice and you will get faster :D
