    Sorry for taking so long to get a picture up but here is the back. As you can see theirs a live and a neutral coming from the lamp itself but the only earth is connected to the metal fitting. Cheers.

    The earth is connected to the fitting separate from the mains with a screw. I will have to try get a pic upload for you.

    Yes its a metal light fitting. The only wires though I have coming from the fitting where the bulb goes is Live and Netural no Earth. The only earth is connected to the metal fitting.

    Well the main feed from the wall has a block with Live Neutral and Earth which obviously the old wall lights are connected to. Please could you explain that in non trades man talk lol.
