interesting, ok done :)

just ran up and had a look and tried to turn the red wheel next to the cylinder, its fully open, the more I look at the pump the more it looks like something from 1920 but its doesn't make any strange noises (touch wood) and clearly it pumps the water round to all the rads as they are all hot...

oh nice :? anything I can do or just leave it?

I guess 3 being the fastest? on another note, some of my copper pipes have a greeny blue stuff on them what is that? :?

Hello Just a quick question, I have the above pump for my heating and hot water, when the water and central heating are on together the radiators dont heat up as quick, I'm guessing this is normal as the pump is distributing the water to the cylinder and the rads? when they are on seperately...

actually come to think about it upstairs is mains fed I turned the water off at the mains not long ago and nothing came out of the taps. Thank you

oh right, so the boiler heats up the water and pumps it round the radiators and or the water tank so it uses the same water pumping round the system? I am going to start using the heating soon as its getting cold should I bleed the radiators first to remove any air that might be in them??

thank you - have no idea but I wont worry about it. Also should there be covers on top of them? (I've only recently moved into the house so not sure if they are meant to have lids :lol:

Hello, I have 2 water tanks in my loft, one large and one small, can someone tell me what they are both for? I'm guessing the big one fills up the hot water tank in the airing cupboard but not sure what the small one is for??? :?

ok so the H/W must be on constant, up until now I've had both the H/W and C/H off at the programmer untill I get home and need H/W and C/H I take it that is not the best thing to have been doing?!

right ok so I'm only getting heating untill the tank temp is satisfied, when that happens and the switch moves to H does that mean that the C/H is still working or does it stop working? So many questions I know sorry

right so the water temp can stay at 50 thats fine - what you saying correct me if I wrong is that the fault is most probably coming from the programmer thing so I need an electrician / heating engineer to do something with the wiring or replace the programmer yeah?

so what does that mean is wrong with it?
