It used to yes. By using it as an extreme example to illustrate the problems of introducing discipline into schools in the modern day I was using it in it's past tense. Whatever form of discipline was brought in now would leave teachers open to the same kind of threats from violent parents.

A lot of ingredients have an E number assigned to them, it's only certain ones that cause hyperactivity (like sunset yellow). I still think it's all an excuse for poorly disciplined children (I said disciplined not beaten :lol: ).

I sometimes wonder whether our failure to discipline youngsters more effectively isn't an abuse in itself :?
