    I want to render a building that has a mix of dense concrete and lightweight blocks in the walls. Should I do a scratch coat or can it be done in one. The previous answers about render are all different! Can someone explain why a scratch coat is used please?

    Thanks for the answers. I'm having an extension wired by a sparky and it was him that told me I should have the delayed rcd. Its a split board and a TT supply (earth rod outside the house). The sparky is going to fit the new rcd, its just that he said it was up to me if I wanted to get instead...

    I need calcs for a pretty straight forward double pitch timber roof 15m x 4m. Would I need a complete set of drawings or can I just get a list of dimensions and fixing requirements to show the BCO? Can someone give a rough idea of teh cost for this please?
