Hi, does anyone know if this hole with strange six point star can be used to put a retaining screw in to hold a new lock cylinder in place please? And if so, what thickness/length are they? Thank you.

Thank, yes am trying to get the lock cylinder out to measure. It does look like a torx screw but I'm not sure that that part is moveable as it looks like it's part of the surrounding plate. Will have a look

Too late! The gutter was so full and heavy it fell down and detached itself from the guttering . I got absolutely soaked. Serves me right for not thinking ahead enough. At least it's unblocked and I managed to reconnect it

Hi, our neighbour's guttering and downpipe is blocked and overflows when it rains but it ends in our garden. Sounds like the whole 2 storey pipe is blocked when I tap on it. Is there any way I can unblock it from the ground when it's fixed in like this our should I destroy the black grate bit...

Not sure on make or model. Might be a Hudson Reed. The screw screws into the end of one of these shower cartridges. There isn't a spacer but that's not to say there shouldn't be one. What would a spacer look like? It does fully tighten without interference with the control knob

Anyone know how I can stop the screw loosening every time we use the shower please? Do I need a new screw, would PTFE tape work or would Loctite blue be an idea? Thanks.
