You shouldn't need to fill the gaps. Any decorator worth his salt would let the paint fill the gap.

Dilute supermatt with water and then i'd use eggshell for bathrooms or kitchen. This specific bathroom paint is just a con.

Yep Gloss is a bit passe now. I went for the untextured look as no offence but you kinda see those textured doors bloody everywhere. Especially in new builds!

I would certainly use a plywood base. Floorboards are not a sound foundation for tiles.
