    I'm doing some work in garage and shed (Part-P I know), but I'm just trying to understand what these classes mean? Is this right? class 1 - Normal ceiling rose/ batten holder, knockout box/ Pattras? class 2 - Double insulated fitting i.e. No earth required? class 3 - I'm not sure

    I'm planning to build an inspection Pit inside of my garage. I've alraedy had it checked it and there won't be any problems with foundations, etc. What my question is what precautions should I make before starting work, the pits only going to 1 metre deep. Any suggetions would really help
