Seems to me that the chap has at least tried to do a good job for you as has not just thrown parts at it trying to fix it. The problem is there are zillions of boilers out there, so to look through the manual is a pretty good start. You couldn't be expected to know every boiler out there...

Being a gas man myself I had some exams recently and they told me I too was incontinent or was it incompetent. I didnt realise the exams were so hard. I laughed so much I pi$$ed myself.

Loks like it was a hardware fault after all. Tried replacing the memory and now computer is booting up ok. Still having one or two problems tho, cant seem to delete files on the hdd. several programs hand, uninstall doesnt seem to remove any programs....blumin microsoft. Maybe thinking of...

Sorry mate, missed that. I think running chkdsk recovered enough to get safe mode working again.

I didnt get the advanced options on the recovery :cry: I will try to get the error code but I'm pretty sure hardware is ok as I can keep it running in safe mode. Will update later !
