    hi,before you have anything festened to your wall,it is worth having the wall made safe 1st,as it is full of mold and weeds growing tells me it is full of moisture,this will cause problems on its own,you are just adding to it,also throwing money away.

    hi,no need to skim 900 side wall,use tilers primer to seal all the walls 1st,let dry up to an hour depending on room temp,then use tanking all over the shower area ,allow to dry overnight normally,the longer the better,you can buy full tanking systems for shower areas from your local tile shops.

    hi,joists are fine,always screw down floor to make a solid base,then you should always board over chipboard because it is not waterproof,stupid to use it in wet areas anyway,not calling you stupid,anyway use either marine ply,or hardybacker,screwed down,then prime,then tile.
