    Am very keen to put tiles again, so scraping off the adhesive, adding tile backer board and re-tiling. My concern is that this will lead to a difference in level with the floor in the bedroom. Is there a solution to this?

    Thanks, everyone. I agree with Iwilldoit. Those squares that look like tiles underneath are the imprint from the back of the tile. I think he is also right that the movement in the chipboard is causing the issue along with a failure to use flexible tile adhesive.

    The tiles in our bathroom seem to have been installed badly. Some are not quite level and the grout appears to be failing. I removed one tile so I could see what substrate was used. How do I go about removing the tiles and preparing the floor for tiling? I'm a noob, so a detailed explanation...

    I tried to install a new lock. The keyhole in the lock did not line up perfectly with the keyhole in the door, so I widened the door keyhole. Put old lock back.     There is damp on the interior wall where the bottom of the bay meets the top of the wall. The damp only appears to be at the corners.     The plastic cover does not fit tightly over the nut. How do I fix this? The nut also does not fit tight to the wall. Is this normal?
