Is a 760x760 shower too small? Design advice needed please

Thanks Blakie. I think I might have to go to B&Q tomorrow and stand in some shower cubicles. Trouble with the quadrant option is I really don't know how the shower enclosure would work with the wall. The standard enclosure would have glass right against the wall and you'd never be able to...

Is a 760x760 shower too small? Design advice needed please

Thanks for the reply Dean. I'm not sure I follow though. Would the glass partition hinge off somewhere and fold against the wall when not in use? If so, where do you suggest? Perhaps it could close the cavity created by the airing cupboard when closed and open to block off the toilet...

Is a 760x760 shower too small? Design advice needed please

This is my bathroom at the moment: I'd like to knock down the wall separating the toilet and the bathroom and remove the airing cupboard and put a lintel in the wall between the toilet and the airing cupboard / bedroom so I can have a separate shower N.B. that wall is load-bearing...

Gable end side extension. Is fully open plan feasible?

Thanks for the replies guys! I realised a bit belatedly what noseall wasn't just talking about the bi-fold door beam but also the beam that would be required to replace the existing beam and half wall. I just went by the house with a crowbar to try to determine once and for all if that...

Gable end side extension. Is fully open plan feasible?

Excellent, thanks Tony! Ok, I don't suppose you (or anyone else) knows how much more it would cost compared to keeping say half the external wall? Or even better would know a ballpark figure for the project? I'm in the Isle of Man so we're probably talking inflated but not London prices...

Gable end side extension. Is fully open plan feasible?

Haha - ok - thanks noseall! That's just the kind of reality check I was hoping for - I hadn't even thought about the doors (I drew them when I was planning on keeping most of the wall). Ok - so if I had a solid wall at the end. Would that be ok? Kind of like this? (I know I've now got...

Gable end side extension. Is fully open plan feasible?

Hello, I've just bought a small post-war semi with cavity walls. I'd like to build a 3m wide x 6.5m long side extension. I will definitely be consulting a SE but before the architect comes around on Friday (and I start telling him my wild ideas and he comes back with wild prices) I'd like...

Internal Sliding & Folding Door Gear - Manufacturers?

ignoring the spam... I thought I'd just update this topic with what I went for in the end in case anyone else has a similar dilemma. The bi fold wasn't suitable (can't remember why, sorry) so I ended up with 2 Husky 25 kits and the top rail but the bottom channel wasn't required as it was...
