it'll work fine. alll systems reduce down at some point or other. main flow and return's are usually 22mm. just think, how small the diameter of a rad valve is? 5mm? even when fully open. :)

    How's my CU looking?

cheap tat? as in, cheap board? I didn't supply the board, boss got it. spose he see's it as "his profit margin" using one. To be fair though, there's plenty of room in them, and they're solid enough. not sure on the quality of the breakers and how long they'll last though.

    electric fire wiring

A switched FCU, taken from the ring main to isolate the the fire itself. The cable from the fused spur, does it have to go ceiling/floor, then either back up/down to the un-switched socket that'll be behind the fire? Or, is it ok to run the cable directly horizontally between the FCU and...

Provision of electrical supply to fish tank

Is he not saying he wants to fit and FCU with some flex from it, into a bunch of double sockets that're installed in his fish tank stand. So creating a radial circuit from his final ring, meaning all 12 items could be switched individually.

    Re-siting incoming supply

if truely serious..... speak to your neighbour. then call your electricity provider.... i think once you get a price from then, you'll soon change your mind for the sake of the cable though. cheaper option, box it in.

    Job questions

will be consealed, so will have to be RCD'd. This won't be too much of a problem damage wise, kitchen ceiling is comin' down so just need to space it through partition wall into the hall ceiling, then obviously the 3 core to take the same path and carry on up to the one on the first floor. :)

    Re-siting incoming supply

contact your energy supplier for a service move. will cost about £700 for each one to be moved. or, know of anyone that works for e-on? exactly legal, but many blokes on there will move a service for you on the side, will still cost about £350 each though.
