A 'repair' on a motorised valve!

The owner had boarded the loft and I presume had moved the wiring from under the board, there various high quality wiring to other jb's throughout the loft space! The owner will be informed of the unsafe installation. (Not in at time of visit).

Got called to a house where a 'electician' had made a ring cct into a radial, left the 2.5mm t&e fed by a 32a mcb. The occupier then has a party outdoors, plugs in loads of heaters (evening time) and wonders why the rcd trips! Also found the cable rapped up in nice warm insulation.

I'd already signed it off, it was a large extension, new db bonding etc (the customer was off sick from work with stress-school teacher, so changed her mind by the hour!)
