Flat roof flashing / cavity tray - 1970s house

Thanks both. I think that makes me confident enough that getting the lead flashing chased into the wall and doing nothing else is the way to go.

Flat roof flashing / cavity tray - 1970s house

I mean only the flashing and roof covering. It'll remain a garage. I'm fairly confident it's the flashing that's the problem but not sure how I could be certain. The render appears in good nick, although there's always stones coming off it. Hence I'm not inclined to open up the wall for a...

Flat roof flashing / cavity tray - 1970s house

1970s semi detached house, pebbledash render on cavity wall. Garage, with flat felt roof was build in 80s, I believe, at the side of the house. There isn't any lead flashing where the flat roof meets the house wall. It was just mortar. I've painted it liberally with bitumen paint and that has...

    Splashback behind induction hob

Thanks - I've actually already had the kictchen installed, but the glass they provided didn't fit the space. The only heat transfer to the wall seems to be from steam rather than the heat of the pans, and it gets warm at most, not very hot. Think I'll do without.

    Splashback behind induction hob

I keep getting conflicting advice! Including different views from the Howdens salesperson and the details on their website. I've got an induction hob, with a laminate splashback behind it, which matches the worktop. I know if I had gas, I'd need to have something else behind the hob, or cover...

    Flat roof flashing - leak

Figued I'd pop back to this and comment that a coat of bitumen has worked (so far...)

    Dafty front door question

I'm replacing my wooden-framed front door with UPVC. I'm aware of of issues people have had, when they find out there's no lintel and the wall was built up directly over the wooden frame. I don't think I'll be in this position as my front door is a little bit further in than the wall...

    Flat roof flashing - leak

We moved in to this house in May. The garage is a flat roof extension and joins the external wall of the house, which is pebble dash rendered. Looks like it was done on the cheap as it's just mortar flashing and while the felt has been recently been redone, they've just gone over the old stuff...
