I would ask your electrician to come back. And ask him to fit the other/others you asked him to fit in the first place. You did ask for more than one ? If not just get him to come back and fit another for you. It is perfectly safe, provided you do it correctly.

I would use browning over the installed cables, finish about 2mm under the surface of the original plaster, then finish skim with multifinish.

I believe it is good practice, as common sense and a basic understanding of electricity would tell you if what you are doing is safe or not.

It may appear to be intact, check it with a multimeter just in case. Have you got a multimeter and some fuse wire ? If not you might be better leaving it to a qualified electrician.

The exterior PIR would set off the strobe on the outbuilding, hopefully deterring any would be thieves, before they break in and activate an internal PIR. :wink: However, if they ignore the strobe and continue, then the alarm will go off. Can this be done or do I need a separate alarm ?
