Having looked at it, it seems to be the cord, pulling it at a slight left angle seems to get it to flicker and sometimes work?

Thanks for the replys. Yeah it has caps on the sides, it can move left/right to allow you to remove the bulb. Not sure whether it should be pushed to one side or adjusted to the middle?

Hi, My bathroom mirror light seems to have broken! Its a 240v, 60w, 284m, tube light. I have tried replacing the buld twice. It started to flicker slightly several times before giving up totally. To turn the light on/off its a pull cord, not sure if this maybe the problem? Any...

the shower water was fine now, will turn it down a bit to around 75/70 and see what its like then. i i just want to make sure i dont damage anything!

i dont know what the old immersion allowed, but ive set the new one to max 80deg c. Will see what happens now, the tap water is hot enough, but not through the shower! will check with new setting. Its not damaging having it on max is it? thanks for your help

Hi, I recently had a new element installed into my immersion heater with also a timer to set it on/off. however now the water is no where hear as hot has anyone got any ideas? thanks

I have to drill two holes on both sides of an exsiting light fix on the celing. Is it safe to do this? or could their be wiring there? thanks

just bought them from Argos (have an excellent returns policy) and must admit they look better than i thought, took 2 mins to fit- two simple screws into the ceiling, and fit into usual light socket- haven't tried them fully yet, but time will tell!
