'No More Ply' on old floorboards...

If the floor isn't too bad the mega adhesive will be fine. I usually use 1 tube per 3 sheets so you'll need 2 tubes. You can stagger the joints by cutting the 3rd sheet in half and starting the 2nd row with half a sheet. Staggering increases the overall strength of the floor but remember to use...

'No More Ply' on old floorboards...

Mega Adhesive is polyurethane based and will foam up to fill voids up to a certain size. Dampen the backs of the NMP with water and the floorboards before laying to help the curing process. If your floorboards are really uneven or badly cupped you can bed the NMP onto rapid set flexible tile...

    Poor adhesive coverage on tile?

Once the whole wall is tiled and grouted you'll probably not even notice, especially if you've chosen a similar coloured grout to the tiles. I can't see it though so it's easy for me to say that.

    Poor adhesive coverage on tile?

It's your choice but you'll struggle to get an acceptable brickbond finish if you have cupped or bowed tiles. If you are stacking the tiles it might not be too noticeable though. How are you doing it?

    Poor adhesive coverage on tile?

No you shouldn't need to cover the bucket, just mix smaller amounts so that it doesn't go off too quick.

    Poor adhesive coverage on tile?

Can't see your image I'm afraid. Generally speaking if your trowel isn't achieving the right coverage on the back of your tiles then the first option is to increase the size of your trowel. A 10mm would be better in your case. The other option you have is to back skim each tile with the flat...

    2mm floor tile spacing

No, hopefully nothing bad will happen. 3mm is the min recommended grout line for floor tiles but as long as your area isn't excessive and you leave an ungrouted gap around the perimeter of the room your 2mm should be ok.

    Tile backer board

If you're building the studwall from scratch you have the luxury of not only getting it exactly plumb, square and flat, but also being able to space the studs at the distances required for whatever boards you decide to use. Personally I'd use construction boards in any wet area (like the...

    Current tiling preferences?

Hello, if your quarry tiles are solid and not showing signs of damp then prime with acrylic primer or SBR and you should be.ok to tile over. Use a flexible adhesive, probably even S2 rated. 6mm is too small for floor tiles of that size. For 300mm I tend to use a 10mm square notch if the floor is...

Good effort, I think that will look better.

    tile from corner or edge

Very often tile patterns are repeated, can you identify and match up the cut tiles with your remaining tiles, or try to at least get the shading similar? I don't think a full tile would look right in the corner but it's your shower so your choice.

    tile from corner or edge

Also keep a 2-3mm gap in the corner and fill with colour matched silicone after grouting. Don't grout the joint in the corner or the bottom joint against the tray.

    tile from corner or edge

Starting from the right hand side will depend on whether this side is bang on vertical (and whether your tray is bang on horizontal) because if either are not then the full tiles will run off course as you progress up the wall. Personally I would continue to wrap round using the offcuts from the...

Door stop on the hinge side would be my guess too.

Damp behind tiles, best course of action?

Are you sure that wall is lath and plaster? It looks like stramit board (straw board) to me. This might explain why things have moved and your grout has cracked. If your wall is stramit board and if its as wet as it appears on the photo's then I'm afraid you'll be wasting your time trying to...

Make first and last row equal when laying?

For a small area like your porch it would look better to work out from a centre line and have equal cuts along opposite walls. If the cuts work out to be less than half the width of a plank, move the middle plank to straddle the centre line and you'll get larger cuts.

Recessed Shelves in Showers : Waterproofing The Joins?

Instead of using plasterboard, construction board should be used and all joints/corners (internal and external) taped with waterproof joining tape, or at the very least a thick continuous bead of silicone. A fall should be set on the shelf before tiling. Tiles should have 100% coverage beneath...

Damp behind tiles, best course of action?

The question that needs answering is what has caused the grout to crack in the first place. Unfortunately even if you do manage to dry the plasterboard out, re-fix the tiles and grout, you are still left with the same conditions that caused the issue in the first place. You probably don't want...
