victoria plumbing. generally, i wouldn’t touch victoria plumbing with a barge pole but you are very limited in suppliers for this. And actually mine is ok

    Yes, yet another Nest!

the earth wire was being used as hot water off. that needs to be in terminal 4. i guess the old room stat if it has one has been disconnected/bridged out in wiring centre. if there was a room stat. that cable could be connected to the heat link so the nest doesn’t have to be plugged into a socket

All in one Basin Toilet Unit thoughts

i’ve fitted a couple and have one in my house. i wouldn’t fit one in a main bathroom but in a cloak room or where space is tight, i think they’re great. the parts are fairly standard in my unit so i’d have no problem sourcing spares

Reducing from 15mm compression to taps

some fittings have tapered threads. some have parallel threads. if you must use that brass union that joins the braided hose you should use a copper to iron adapter to get back onto copper before the isolation valve

Are you a new(ish) Baxi customer?

i think you’ll find that old&bold was implying that you’d be entitled to same day response if you were an approved installer

    New house vailant boiler

heat exchanger will be blocked. those heat exchangers get blocked very easily. a powerflush won’t clean it either. you’ll end up changing the heat exchanger i suspect

Untaxed and No MoT - not a priority for the Police?

it seems in my area the dvla have outsourced untaxed cars to a clamping company. i've seen many cars clamped and then removed a week or two later. in fact a local car dealer had three cars parked on the street, all next to each other clamped and removed only recently
