Old boiler and central heating problem

I think that you need to work through the instructions on Page 2 of the manual, setting the times when you'd like your Central Heating and Hot Water on, day by day. When you've finished programming, press Run.

    UPDATE ON THIS ANYONE HELP?

I think that you need to work through the instructions on Page 2 of the manual, setting the times when you'd like your Central Heating and Hot Water on, day by day. When you've finished programming, press Run. If the system then does not come on and switch off as you'd like, this points to a...

    UPDATE ON THIS ANYONE HELP?

I'll have a go at explaining how your system should work. Whilst you haven't posted a picture of your timer, I would guess that on it, you can select either Central Heating or Hot Water to be ON, OFF or TIMED. If selecting TIMED, you can then further select when in each day the boiler...

    Complete Newbie requires some advice?

Not wishing to get involved in the debate about the OP's builders, I'll just try to answer the question as asked. No, the Potterton Netaheat Electronic is NOT a combi boiler ie. it does not instantly heat mains water. From the description given of the system, the OP's hot water is stored...

    Tempest water tanks

O/P = off peak N/T = normal tariff perhaps? The idea being that off-peak electricity (midnight - 7am approx; but varies from one supplier to another) is cheaper - so you heat your water during the night using cheaper leccy. Check that your supply is on Economy 7 tariff - your...

Help with neighbours noisy power shower pump?

Ok, but the point remains - try getting them to put some carpet or underlay under the paving slab

Help with neighbours noisy power shower pump?

The 'concrete slab' - a paving slab, perhaps? - will quite efficiently transmit the pump's low-frequency vibration into the floorboards. It will help to decouple the slab from the floor - a couple of layers of carpet or underlay would probably do the job.

Gurgling and blocked toilet & sink

Sounds like there is a blockage in the underground waste pipe, between your soil stack and the main sewer (usually under the street). There should be one or more Inspection Chambers (each covered by a manhole cover) along this run; try and lift each cover - when you find an Inspection chamber...

One Set of Radiators Not Heating Up

Not much information to go on; but at a guess, you have a sealed system (ie. no feed & expansion tank). Have you repressurised the system after bleeding the rads? This should be done when the system is cold, by opening the filling loop until pressure shows about 1 bar. ps. it's best to bleed...
