I've removed an old toilet and macerator as we want to change the room back into a bedroom. Are the pipes just 15mm copper piping so just use normal blanking caps for them or do I need something else? Here's a photo:

Thanks for all the replies - no more leaks now the snow has gone and have read a few US websites that talk about ice dams getting formed on the roof so the melting water backs up.

I'm looking for advice on how to access two chimney stacks for repointing on a butterfly roof of a Victorian house. I have scaffold at the front of the property but want to know the best way of getting to the chimneys.
